In this Cancellation Policy:
- ‘we’, ‘us’ or ‘our’ means Nara Desert Escape, Nara Nomad and Sonara camp; and
- ‘you’ or ‘your’ means the person and/or their guests who has purchased services from us.
Individually referred to as the party (the ‘Party’) and collectively referred to as the parties (the ‘Parties’).

1. Right to Cancel
- If you are unable to attend a previously booked experience at any of our camps, strict cancellation fees will apply.
- We recommend that you opt for the “Cancellation Protection Program” offered on our booking platform to take advantage of the last minutes cancellation coverage.
To exercise your right to cancel under the Cancellation Protection Program, you must inform us of your decision to cancel the experience by a clear written statement using the contact email at the top of this page.
- We are not responsible if an event is cancelled by us due to causes beyond our reasonable control, including without limitation, acts or omissions of government or military authority, acts of God, shortages of materials, transportation delays, fires, floods, diseases, labour disturbances, riots, epidemics, pandemics, or wars provided that we give prompt notice to you of our invocation of this provision and make diligent efforts to resume the event despite such force majeure. In a case of force majeure, we will offer you an alternative date, or a transferable voucher equivalent to the amount of your booking valid for six (6) months. If this force majeure provision is triggered, we will not provide a refund unless you have taken the Cancellation Protection Program. The Parties are aware that the global Coronavirus Covid-19 pandemic is occurring world-wide. Should the pandemic effect the viability of the event the force majeure provisions shall be triggered, as set forth above.
- To meet the cancellation deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right to cancel before the cancellation period has expired. The cancellation periods are set out in Article 2 (“Cancellation Period”) below.
Our Camps need a minimum of 20 guests to operate. In the event this minimum number of guests is not reached on any particular date we reserve the right not to operate on this day.
If the camp you have booked for can not operate on your booking day, you will be contacted in advance and be offered to:
- Change the date of your reservation for the same venue
- Change the venue of your booking for the same day, if available
- Cancel your reservation
2. Cancellation Period
Less than six (6) guests:
- Cancellation up to seventy-two (72) hours prior to the booked experience – eligible for a full refund with or without the Cancellation Protection Program.
- Cancellation less than seventy-two (72) hours prior to the booked experience – eligible for a full refund with the Cancellation Protection Program.
- Cancellation less than seventy-two (72) hours prior to the booked experience – not eligible for a refund without the Cancellation Protection Program.
Above six (6) guests:
- Cancellation up to seven (7) days prior to the booked experience – eligible for a full refund with or without the Cancellation Protection Program.
- Cancellation between six (6) days and seventy-two (72) hours prior to the booked experience – eligible for a full refund with the Cancellation Protection Program.
- Cancellation between six (6) days and seventy-two (72) hours prior to the booked experience – eligible for a fifty percent (50%) refund without the Cancellation Protection Program.
- Cancellation less than seventy-two (72) hours prior to the booked experience – eligible for a full refund with the Cancellation Protection Program.
- Cancellation less than seventy-two (72) hours prior to the booked experience – not eligible for a refund without the Cancellation Protection Program.
All cancellations of third party suppliers / entertainers booked for your event are subject to the cancellations policies provided by those suppliers / entertainers.
Events cancelled due to force majeure
- With Cancellation Protection Program
- Eligible for a refund, or provided with alternative date, or a transferable voucher equivalent to the amount of your booking valid for six (6) months.
- Without Cancellation Protection Program
- Not eligible for a refund. You will be provided with alternative date, or a transferable voucher equivalent to the amount of your booking valid for six (6) months.
Changes in the number of attendees is subject to the above-mentioned Cancellation Period.
Cutoff time and no shows
Cutoff Time: All cancellations or re-scheduling need to be sent to Nara Desert Escape in writing no later than 12:00pm the day of your experience. In case you re-schedule your experience past this cutoff time, we reserve the right to charge AED 200 per adult and AED 100 per child in order to process the postponement of your experience.
No Shows: All cancellations occurring after the cutoff time will be considered as no shows. All no shows will be charged a one hundred percent (100%) cancellation fee with or without the Cancellation Protection Program.
3. Effects of Cancellation
- We will make the reimbursement without undue delay, and not later than fourteen (14) business days after the day on which we are informed about your decision to cancel.
- We will make the reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless we have expressly agreed otherwise.
- The reimbursements as set out in Article 2 above, are subject to a five percent (5%) processing fee, which will be deducted from the refund amount.
4. Third Party Rights
No one other than a Party to this contract has any right to enforce any term of this contract.
5. Disputes
- We will try to resolve any disputes with you quickly and efficiently. If you are unhappy with the services we have provided or any other matter, please contact us as soon as possible using the contact details set out at the top of this page.
- Any disputes will be subject to the Laws of Dubai (for Sonara Dubai) and the Laws of Ras Al Khaimah (Sonara Al Wadi), and the United Arab Emirates, and the Dubai Courts and Ras Al Khaimah Courts respectively, shall have exclusive jurisdiction.

2. Cancellation Period
Private Event Guests:
- With Cancellation Protection Program:
- Cancellation up to ten (10) days prior to the booked experience – eligible for 80% refund if your event has already been paid in full. If your event has been only partially paid, you will be refunded 80% of the amount paid in excess of the deposit*.
- Cancellation between ten (10) days and 48 hours prior to the booked experience – eligible for a sixty percent (60%) refund if your event has been paid in full. If your event has been only partially paid, you will be refunded 60% of the amount paid in excess of the deposit*.
- Cancellation less than 48 hours prior to the booked experience – not eligible for a refund.
- Without Cancellation Protection Program:
- Cancellation up to thirty (30) days prior to the booked experience – eligible for 80% refund if your event has already been paid in full. If your event has been only partially paid, you will be refunded 80% of the amount paid in excess of the deposit.
- Cancellation between thirty (30) to fourteen (14) days prior to the booked experience – eligible for a fifty percent (50%) refund refund if your event has already been paid in full. If your event has been only partially paid, you will be refunded 40% of the amount paid in excess of the deposit.
- Cancellations less than ten (14) days prior to the booked experience – not eligible for a refund.
All cancellations of third party suppliers / entertainers booked for your event are subject to the cancellations policies provided by those suppliers / entertainers.
Events cancelled due to force majeure
- With Cancellation Protection Program
- Eligible for 60% refund if your event has already been paid in full. If your event has been only partially paid, you will be refunded 60% of the amount paid in excess of the deposit*. Or provided with an alternative date, or provided with a transferable voucher equivalent to the amount of your booking valid for six (6) months.
- Without Cancellation Protection Program
- Not eligible for a refund. You will be provided with alternative date, or a transferable voucher equivalent to the amount of your booking valid for six (6) months.
Changes in the number of attendees is subject to the above-mentioned Cancellation Period.
Cutoff time and no shows
Cutoff Time: All cancellations need to be sent to Nara Desert Escape in writing no later than 2 hours prior to your pickup time.
No Shows: All cancellations occurring after the cutoff time will be considered as no shows. All no shows will be charged a one hundred percent (100%) cancellation fee with or without the Cancellation Protection Program.
3. Effects of Cancellation
- The Cancellation Protection Program (CPP) can only be opted for prior to signing the contract and will be paid for along with the down payment.
- Once purchased, the CPP can NOT be removed
- The CPP enrolment fee is NOT refundable and will NOT be part of any refund amount
- We will make the reimbursement without undue delay, and not later than fourteen (14) business days after the day on which we are informed about your decision to cancel.
- We will make the reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless we have expressly agreed otherwise.
- The reimbursements as set out in Article 2 above, are subject to a five percent (5%) processing fee, which will be deducted from the refund amount.
4. Third Party Rights
No one other than a Party to this contract has any right to enforce any term of this contract.

Additional Tickets:
- Any additional tickets purchased on behalf of the client will not be refunded.
- This includes but not limited to third party activities, landmark access, and museums.
Events cancelled due to force majeure
- With Cancellation Protection Program
- Eligible for a full refund, or provided with an alternative date, or provided with a transferable voucher equivalent to the amount of your booking valid for six (6) months.
- Without Cancellation Protection Program
- Not eligible for a refund. You will be provided with alternative date, or a transferable voucher equivalent to the amount of your booking valid for six (6) months.
Changes in the number of attendees is subject to the above-mentioned Cancellation Period.

2. Cancellation Period
2.1 With Cancellation Protection Program
- The trip can be cancelled and rescheduled to another date and time deemed convenient if the trip is cancelled due to guest sickness. No refund will be possible.
- In case of bad weather conditions we will offer you an alternative date, a transferable voucher equivalent to the amount of your booking valid for two (2) months, or a full refund if you are not UAE residents.
- Apart from Force Majeure and from Clauses 2.1.1 to 2.1.2 above, if the trip is cancelled by you with 72 hours’ notice or less, or the event of a no show, no refund will be provided.
- Apart from Force Majeure and from Clauses 2.1.1 to 2.1.2 above, if you cancel your trip with 10 days’ notice up to 72 hours before your experience, 25% of the total amount shall be refunded to you.
- Apart from Force Majeure and from Clauses 2.1.1 to 2.1.2 above, if you cancel your trip more than 10 days before your experience, you are eligible for a full refund.
2.2 Without Cancellation Protection Program
- The trip can be cancelled and rescheduled to another date and time deemed convenient, within a one month period, if the trip is cancelled due to guest sickness. No refund will be possible.
- In case of bad weather conditions we will offer you an alternative date, a transferable voucher equivalent to the amount of your booking valid for one (1) month, or a full refund if you are not UAE residents.
- Apart from Force Majeure and from Clauses 2.2.1 to 2.2.2 above, if the trip is cancelled by you with 7 days’ notice or less, or the event of a no show, no refund will be provided.
- Apart from Force Majeure and from Clauses 2.2.1 to 2.2.2 above, if you cancel your trip between 15 and 8 days’ notice before your experience, 25% of the total amount shall be refunded to you.
- Apart from Force Majeure and from Clauses 2.2.1 to 2.2.2 above, if you cancel your trip more than 15 days before your experience, you are eligible for a 75% refund.
Changes in the number of attendees is subject to the above-mentioned Cancellation Period.

4. Postponement
Requests for postponement of a booking must be received in writing and no less than 10 days prior to the booked event. The rescheduled booking date must be within 6 months of the original booking unless otherwise agreed upon in writing and is subject to availability. All monies paid to date will be allocated to the new function date. Nara in the City reserves the right to withhold all or part of the deposit for administration team and service costs incurred.
